( The first image on the screen when it lights up with activity is the ever-gazing, wide eyes of a relatively expressionless Espurr. It's definitely unsettling. As the frame pans out, one can see Levi in the background—seated on a couch—and it becomes obvious that the aforementioned Espurr is the one who's not only turned on Levi's PokéGear, but is moving it as well.

A beeping from the device is what gets Levi's attention; Espurr is silent, something he's thankful for, although that only gives the Pokémon more unwarranted freedom. An impatient 'tch' is heard as Levi gets up from his spot and closes in on the frame to lift the device and take it into his own hands. His brow is furrowed, and he's about to shut off the feed before he realizes 'Well, this is as good an opportunity as any to take advantage of an audience.'
) Oi.

This one's fucked up. ( He gestures to the Espurr—still endlessly gazing, although its wide eyes have now focused on Levi, who'd stolen its toy. Who even does that? How do you know Espurr didn't have important shit to say?

Levi's expression, when he turns back to the camera, is a cross between a grimace and a sneer.
) It doesn't make any noise. It doesn't fucking blink. It just looks like this, all the time. Is this shit normal?

( After a second, Levi makes a sound like a sigh. ) But then it gets up to shit like this when I'm not looking. My other one doesn't do that. Is it bored? Am I not feeding it enough? Fuck.

( Narrowing his eyes a bit, Levi glances at the Espurr once more, then back at the camera as he holds his finger on the 'END' button. )

It's creepy as hell. ( Another 'tch' sound, then the feed shuts off. )

[but you're talking with a girl, who can make horrible nicknames about that...]

Yeah. Yeah, actually that's a good idea. You know, sooner or later at least some of them start acting like tiny little kids anyway.
red_roses: (Um...//Excuse me)

[She watches him for a bit.] Mm....I think he wants to have a snack.

[ it would, but then i'd have to come up with one. brb coming up with one.

that actually makes her laugh.]

Hey, taking care of toddlers is easy. ...at least, you know, most of the time.

Yeah well -- I was kind of locked up in my hometown until I was 17, so getting to know them there was... a thing. I still live there and my parents are still there, but I can move freely nowadays. So, my airbending teacher's place has become like my second home to me and he has four kids. Their oldest is 11, the youngest is six months old.
foolishwren: Or do you just rip a hole in your chest and let the locusts fly randomly into the keyboard? (do you like... THINK before you type?)

Well, 'unique' is one way of putting it.

Unique in that there is literally no other Pokemon that I WOULDN'T prefer to wake up and find perched at the end of my bed, definitely.

[Seriously put a fucking Tyranitar in her room to wake up to and she'd still be happier to see it than one of those things.]

[Frowning, so much frowning and curious staring at him now.] Yeah, until I was 17. Then I kind of ran away, not that anyone really minded after a while... And it didn't feel like only 17. [but it could have been worse.]

[Right, world of pokemon. Lots of people from different worlds, and most of them haven't heard of bending stuff.]

Sorry. It's a term back where I come from for controlling and manipulating air. The same's possible for water, fire and earth too, and then we use those for stuff like attacking, defense and for many other things in and outside fights.

I have...um...[She has to count on her hands.] eight! Though, I don't like making Pokemon fight, so I breed them instead.
foolishwren: but i can't die so we'll all just have to deal (i may be an abomination and a scoundrel)

[Video] Espurr is so hilariously creepy no joke

[personal profile] foolishwren 2014-12-04 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, as a matter of fact, it is a bold statement.

And I will stand by it.

Hey, we're just sacks of blood and bone and meat, right?

[sweats.]

...Like, um... Getting older, I guess. Sort of like tadpoles and frogs?

[LOOK that's the easiest way he can explain it! It's pretty hard to give a good definition while he's being looked at like that!]
bertall: (I need the booty)

video;

[personal profile] bertall 2014-12-08 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Maybe he should explain it with cleaning supplies. Look, the tiny soaps turn into lots of bubbles. ...Gods, and knowing how this world worked he wouldn't be surprised if there was a Pokemon like that. There's already swords and keys.]

Well... Yeah. They're really strong on their own, but sometimes it's easier for them to protect and fight for you when they're bigger. This guy, uh... Moose, he was really small when I first got him.

[He points to his 'gear to where the Purrloin is on his screen.]

I don't really know anything about those ones, but that one'll probably evolve too. One of my other Pokemon was about that size until he evolved, now he's as tall as me.
goestoextremes: (Naga ❤ yeah I think you're alright)

[personal profile] goestoextremes 2014-12-08 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
I do, nowadays anyways. [now when she's like more mature than she was back then, orz.] ...So are you from a place, where you can't leave?

[Or why do you sound like that with those questions, curious girl is curious! She nods at the question.]

Yeah, all those four and some things that come with them, like metal because it's part of earth. Except platinum, and other highly purified metals.

[Humanity's Strongest Soldier, meet ... well, if she was a soldier, she'd have the same title, but in terms of her world, she's Humanity's Strongest Bender.]
bertall: (Let's just say it was like a porno)

Re: video;

We're allowed to name things here. I even named one of mine after Marco.

[And Annie, but he's going to keep her under wraps until he can't avoid it anymore.] A-And yeah, they listen to names. They're really smart, even smarter than the horses back home.

[Bertolt reaches off-screen for a small book and flips it open, then he turns it towards the gear. In that book? Pictures. Lots of pictures. He took a bunch over the year and he's just starting to get some of them developed, and the one in question is a picture of a tiny Growlithe pasted next to another picture of an Arcanine.] See? They can get bigger.
